Custom Furnishings
All of our custom furnishings are created from first generation logs, recovered from the rivers of northwest Florida. Dead head cypress and pine are moderately resistant to mold and decay, a result of the many years spent underwater. All of our pieces are one of a kind, left as natural as possible. Pieces may showcase live edges, original axe cuts, peg holes, and a multitude of colors, grains, and shapes. Our cypress slabs are available natural, sanded and/or finished with tung oil. Any finish can be applied, but we only use tung oil. The sizes of these slabs with the live edges run 27”- 46” wide and up to 12’ long. Most are 2” thick and some are 2 ½” – 3” thick.
We can add standard wood legs or steel legs, which can be painted or oxidized to a rust patina then sprayed with a clear sealer. Most legs are 2” x 2”, 4” x 4”, etc. On coffee tables, we can do half log bases or steel frame bases.
We try to keep it simple and offer unique pieces left as naturally as possible. Each is unique in color and grain and will vary from examples shown.
Each piece is truly a work of art, as is the tree Mother Nature created.
